Overview - Dukhiram is a very poor man. He has two beautiful young daughters. As Dukhiram is a very poor man so he is unable to arrange dowry for the marriage of his daughter. His elder daughter commits suicide. His other daughter Chandni also tries as once again Dukhiram is hailed to fulfil the demands of dowry made by her in-laws at the time of her marriage.
