Yeah a movie like this isn't getting made today, and that is a shame, but the lead character is a female that has a sexual awakening, which would get made today... ... but she is heterosexual which would make it problematic, and she isn't super-powered in anyway and has an actual journey overcoming hardships, which is also problematic.
