So the opening scenes are a bit beyond what I'd call normal, which in this instance is probably a good idea as the premise of the story is homicidal madness and a brilliant mothers love. Feels like science helping the rich out, in the case of our psychotic young man, an enabling mother who not only condones but actually feeds the behavior by aiding his compulsion to hurt and kill.
