Overview - J.B. Ball, a rich financier, gets fed up with his free-spending family. He takes his wife's just-bought (very expensive) sable coat and throws it out the window, it lands on poor hard-working girl Mary Smith. Bad things happen when you throw your wife's expensive new Kolinsky fur coat off a roof. At least, that's the lesson Mr. J.B. Ball learned when he tried it, and all the ensuing mishaps and crazy rumors begin to follow him all over town.
