A pretty decent crime show. The relationship between DC Manning (Ember) and her mother, with Ember reproaching her mother for not protecting her enough as a teenager in light of her current investigation, is interesting and would have deserved to be explored more deeply. Just as the noxious and perverse atmosphere in the local community regarding underage girls, that ultimately takes a backseat...
