Well, this is trying to be an erotic thriller and it is trying to be neo noir... and it doesn't pull off either. It seems to be constantly confused about which way to go, never committing to either genre and not really merging them together very well. Watched the "Director's Cut" which is about 12 minutes longer than the theatrical version. This seems to be leftovers from Joe Eszterhas's script of Basic Instinct and while I think it has its moments, could've been so much better and with a more charismatic lead might've made for a more memorable film as a whole, but David Caruso showed why he was far better suited for television.
